About us
Empowering the next generation of conservation leaders through meaningful internship experiences
Who We Are
The Australian Land Conservation Alliance
The Australian Land Conservation Alliance is a not for profit which represents organisations that work to conserve, manage and restore nature on privately managed land. Together we work to address some of the most pressing conservation issues across the country – including tackling invasive species and managing national environmental biosecurity threats, restoring endangered ecosystems, and building the protected area estate.
The Internship Program
Building tomorrow's conservation workforce
The internship program is a strategic initiative designed to build a skilled, diverse and sustainable workforce for the conservation and land management sector, addressing current gaps and preparing the next generation of conservation leaders. The Internship Program will create a sector-wide intern platform for young professionals entering the conservation and land management sector. It will connect young people, students and graduates with diverse internship opportunities across the sector. The tech solution platform aims to build a sector-wide pathway for interns to gain relevant, consistent and high-quality experience in conservation and will provide interns with the opportunities for real-world experience, hence bridging the gap between their academic knowledge and practical application.
